DGM die-cutting machine and folder-gluer plus Komori's initial stage

Akshay Koradia, with 35 years of experience in the printing and packaging industry, has established a new carton department in Umbergaon, Gujarat. The plant is located about 160 kilometers north of Mumbai, just across the border between Maharashtra and Gujarat. It was jointly established with an investor to produce single cartons and lithographic laminated micro-flute cartons. Micro Wood will also produce paper tubes, cans, hard boxes or luxury packaging that Koradia has already produced.

The new plant that is about to be completed will initially install a second-hand 2000 Komori Lithrone 8-color coating machine UV printing machine. At the same time, it also ordered conversion equipment from DGM, including a DGM Technocut 1050S automatic demoulding and die-cutting machine and a fully loaded DGM.

The SmartFold folder gluer can run in a straight line, with anti-collision lock bottom, double wall 4-corner and 6-corner carton. The folding gluing machine is also capable of CD and pocket design, as well as solid cardboard cartons from 170 to 800 gsm and 3-layer corrugated cartons with a folding thickness of up to 15 mm. Micro Wood also plans to purchase a laminator, which Koradia describes as "work in progress."

Koradia's investor is the well-known Doms stationery brand. The new carton factory plans to produce domestic and export packaging for stationery products and fast moving consumer goods packaging. Micro Wood's 50,000 square foot factory is about to be completed. The building should be ready in the first half of September. Koradia is expected to start the plant in early November this year, including the installation and commissioning of equipment for Diwali.
