Its manufacturer claims that a coffin-shaped capsule is expected to die relatively painlessly and peacefully within a minute, and a legal review has been passed in Switzerland. By reducing the oxygen in the pods to a critical level, death occurs through hypoxia and hypocapnia.

If the person using the machine has atresia syndrome (a condition where the patient is conscious but unable to move or communicate because almost all voluntary muscles of the body are completely paralyzed, except for vertical eye movements and blinking, according to the British Independent).

The machine is taken to the user's preferred location, and then the biodegradable capsule is removed from the base to be used as a coffin.

Dr. Philip Nicchik, the head of the non-profit organization Exit International, also known as "Dr. Death", is behind the suicide pod.

According to Exit International, which developed the machine, about 1,300 people died of “assisted suicide” in Switzerland last year.

"Unless there are any unforeseen difficulties, we hope to get Sarco into operation in Switzerland next year. So far, this is a very expensive project, but we think we are very close to implementation now," said Dr. Philip Nitschke.

However, Nizick received a bad reaction because of the method used by his machine. "Some people even say it's just a beautified gas chamber," the Independent reported.

Some people even think that machines beautify and beautify suicide.

Currently, only two Sarco prototypes exist, but Exit International is 3D printing a third machine, which is expected to be put into use in Switzerland next year.
