Shaq revealed he likes to entertain a wide-range of theories.
Shaquille O’Neal is doubling down on his controversial theory about planet Earth.
“It’s a theory, It’s just a theory, they teach us a lot of things,” O’Neal reiterated on “The Kyle & Jackie O Show” when asked about his 2017 comments about the Earth being flat.

However, he didn’t exactly shoot down his claims either, noting that his plane “flew straight” from the U.S. to Australia, which leads him to believe the Earth is not round.
“I flew 20 hours today, not once did I go this way,” he explained, moving his arm in a diagonal rotation. He added that he did not “tip over” or “go upside down,” which he believes would happen if the Earth was round.
When co-host Kyle Sandilands questioned how someone could travel to another part of the world in a different direction, Shaq clarified, “It’s still a straight line,” adding, “you don’t go under.”
The former athlete also took issue with claims that the Earth spins, stating: “I’ve been living on a house on a lake for 30 years, not once did the lake rotate to the left or right.”
"If we're spinning so fast, why aren't we dizzy?" Sandilands chimed in, adding, "I don't get that either."
"It's a conspiracy theory,” the star clarified to Sandilands and fellow host Jackie Henderson, admitting that he likes to entertain a wide-range of theories and that it isn’t “about figuring them out, or he’s wrong or he’s right.”
This isn’t the first time Shaq opened up about his theories telling “The Big Podcast with Shaq” co-host John Kincade in 2017 that he drives “coast to coast” all the time and knows that “it’s flat.”
“I do not go up and down at a 360-degree angle, and all that stuff about gravity, have you looked outside Atlanta lately and seen all these buildings? You mean to tell me that China is under us? China is under us? It’s not. The world is flat,” he said.
The All-Star even debunked satellite imagery as “drawn and made up,” as reported by the Bleacher Report.
However, in a follow-up to The Washington Post shortly after, he stepped back from his claims, noting: “Would you like to hear my theory? The first part of the theory is, I’m joking, you idiots.”
According to NASA, the ancient Greeks determined that the Earth is not flat by measuring shadows “during summer solstice” and calculating Earth’s circumference.
“Even though our planet is a sphere, it is not a perfect sphere. Because of the force caused when Earth rotates, the North and South Poles are slightly flat. Earth's rotation, wobbly motion and other forces are making the planet change shape very slowly, but it is still round,” the government agency noted.
Scientists also determined that it rotates in the solar system around the Sun, making a full spin around its axis once every 24 hours. It spins at “just over 1,000 miles per hour.”
